When Derek Sommer was deciding to expand the headquarters for his company Spud Software, he quickly scrapped his initial idea and went with a larger design.

On Thursday, Sept. 24, Sommer said he was glad he decided on a $2 million project with 9,500-square feet, two floors and an open design concept. 

“We think this building – as well as the growth of Spud – has given us an edge,” he said during a ribbon cutting at his new location.
